Vine desde Estados Unidos - Chelsea Baldwin

"In summer 2008, I came to Mexico to work in Campo Krasiba for two months. While at the camp, I worked with the camp staff to facilitate leadership and team-working activities for groups from different companies, as well as hosting some leadership seminars for students. Leaving home by myself to live in an unfamiliar country for two months was very challenging in more ways than I ever expected, but I found the AIESECers at ITAM and the camp staff to be very friendly and helpful. Though this experience, I learned a lot about myself, gained some valuable leadership skills, made some great friends, traveled to some interesting places, and ate some amazing food! I would encourage anyone and everyone to do an AIESEC internship - it is an experience of a lifetime!"

Me fui a Francia - Laura García

My experience at Alcatel-Lucent
Paris, France

Great AIESEC eXperience! ... For life!
I have been working in the Corporate Reporting Team of Alcatel-Lucent the trusted partner
of service providers, enterprises and governments’ worldwide, providing solutions to deliver
voice, data and video communication services to end-users.
Here I have met people from different of countries; around 25 AIESEC interns in Alcatel-Lucent, employees from other countries than France (based in France) and the ones around the world working in all the subsidiaries.
During these 8 months I have learnt how the company works, realizing the huge dimension of it and the big team effort to making it run in a multi cultural environment.
I have applied international accounting, international regulations, reporting, and analyzing alot of financial information.
Also I have earnt and use reporting systems and databases which help to do the job. As well I have continued learning and improving personal skills.
I have been encouraged and allowed to give feedback improving each day the tasks assigned in order to get better results as a team. I have understood that there are some tasks not that interesting, but they have to be done. So you need to be efficient on those, in order to have more time for the interesting ones. I am so happy that my manager trusts me to do new tasks each day and not only basic ones, but more challenging and interesting. I can say that in the first months you are in continues training to prepare you to do more all the rest of the internship.
AIESEC intern’s motivation and commitment is well appreciated for the managers in Alcatel-Lucent. The company received the “Best Partner of the Year for 2009” award from AIESEC International.
About the AIESEC activity during my internship, I can say that there is a lot! Weekly reunions with the interns located in the city, every time with guests (Local Committees and from International ones). Global villages, Studies tours in all France, Parties during the week and weekend! :D Interns’ collaboration to find all what you need in the City! tips, suggestions and advising. Pick nicks and travelling as much as possible. Also it is always good to help the Local Committees to continue expanding the AIESEC eXperience to more students.

All makes the internship a great AIESEC eXperience!

Find an internship in the field that really interests you and you will be totally satisfied.
Paris is great! But if the internship is not, you might not enjoy 100%
So do not hesitate!
become an AIESEC member & taste for real the AIESEC eXperience.
